Pacific Tuna Alliance

Celebrating Earth Day 2016 with Our Employees

Earth Day – Dia de la Tierra 2016– was a big day for our members.  This year, as ever year, our members sponsored employee education events across their facilities – from engaging employees in trainings to educating our employees’ children at daycare to supporting Earth Day events at local schools.

The Alliance makes a suite of materials for Earth Day that all are welcomed to use. You can download a coloring sheet herefun facts, and an Earth Day poster below (in Spanish).

But Earth Day is more than just a single day; this year we’re going to make big stuff happen for the oceans. As part of our MSC certification process, we’ll be using our voices to promote better management of tuna populations, to protect species, and to ensure that regulatory systems are supportive of sustainability. As ethical employers, it’s our commitment to our communities.
